Hi! My name is Borys Kapica.

I’m a 27 year old UI/UX designer from Warsaw, currently living and working in Rotterdam.

I am currently self employed and am open to full-time contracts for both in-person and remote work.

My approach

As a UI/UX designer I prioritize detailed research to discover user needs.

My background in humanistic studies and my interest in technology allow me to design amazing products while staying close to human needs. This intersection of technology and humanity gives me a better understanding of the complexities of product design.

My previous work also allowed me to be creative while working on electronic music production and making videos. I was in charge of every step of video production, from writing scripts, to recording, animating, narrating, creating thumbnails and editing the final product. This work was not only creative, but also required analysing viewers’ response and constantly improving and growing as a person and designer.

Guiding principles

Core values

🤝 Thorough user research

I value personal experiences above all else when it comes to product design, so conducting interviews and analysing its findings is when I am in my element.

🔍 Attention to detail

As long as I have been interacting with technology, I have always identified many problems with the interfaces, so in my work I pay close attention to every single aspect, to provide the best possible experience for users.

📈 Optimization

I strive to find solutions and design products that satisfy the needs of users, as well as the business criteria of my employer.

My previous work

Content Marketing at Production Music Live

I have been creating content for YouTube, specifically software tutorials for Ableton music production. Additionally I wrote articles for the PML website, created instagram posts, edited videos using Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects for animating.

My work in PML included a lot of design tasks, creating marketing strategies and analysing user feedback, and together with my interest in the relationship between technology and people, it all created a strong background for venturing into UX design.
